Nominations in THREE Categories!

Here's a little reminder of how AWESOME you all are!! Global Hydranencephaly Foundation has received nominations in three different categories at WEGO: the Health Activist Hero, Best in Show: for our Facebook page, and Best in Show: for Community/Forum which encompasses our Family-to-Family Resource Network (our "home" for our hydran-family). Nominations have now been closed, so now we need your help to pull in some endorsements to help us gain some awareness ground and added recognition.

About the nominations:

The Health Activist Hero nomination is "to recognize someone who has made a huge difference to your online community. Whether this Health Activist inspires you, supports you, or advocates for you in a major way, make sure they know how much of a hero they are."

The Best in Show: Facebook nomination
is "given to a Health Activist who raises awareness, shares information, and creates community using Facebook. Whether they connect with others through a personal profile, share information on a page, or help create connections in a group, make sure to nominate your favorite Facebook user to recognize their work in your online community."

The Best in Show: Community/Forum nomination is for those groups that "raise awareness, share information, and bring together other patients and caregivers – all through the platform of an online community, forum, or listserv. Take a moment to recognize the community you visit every day and recommend to newly diagnosed patients."

Check it out here: and ask others to share & nominate as well! Feel free to snag the graphic above and plaster it around the web!

So, what is this WEGO Health site all about?

WEGO Health is a different kind of social network, built from the ground up for the community leaders, bloggers and tweeters who are actively involved in health online. WEGO Health is a platform for committed health advocates to foster new relationships, gain access to helpful resources, and to grow their communities. And it’s free.

Our goal is to equip our network with opportunities designed for the active contributor, relevant content, powerful educational resources and shareable interactive media. We hope that the bloggers, tweeters, and community leaders that we call Health Activists will find inspiration, strength and support here.
