Bee Inspired: No Words

Never in all of my life have I had the pleasure of knowing someone who has the ability to communicate so much, without any formal means of communication. The lack of communication in children with hydranencephaly is frustrating at times, when there is obvious pain or a need not being met; but other moments without words allow for a new, more powerful, language to build and be appreciated.

Brayden, as the rest of our little bees, cannot always speak words, though most do have their own words that parents/loved ones understand; he cannot sign me a sentence, occasionally a word like "more" but not regularly; he has no easily communicable verbal or body language, yet says so much... but only if you know how to listen:
When you meet one of our little bees in life or via the web, or even another individual with limited means to communicate, please keep these words in mind or you will miss learning an invaluable lesson; or possibly overlook the experience of knowing and loving someone that could turn out to be one of the biggest blessings of your life.
